Quetta previously known as Shalkot is the provincial capital and major city of Balochistan, Pakistan. It is also the 10th biggest city of Pakistan. It was mostly destroyed in the 1935 Quetta earthquake, but was reconstructed and has a population of 1,001,205 agreeing to the census of 2017. The city is recognized as the “Fruit Garden of Pakistan,” due to the various fruit orchards in and around it, and the large diversity of fruits and dried fruit products made there.

The direct area has long been one of meadows and mountains, with diverse plants and animals relative to the dry plains to the west.
Quetta is on the western side of Pakistan and is attached to the rest of the country by a system of roads, railways and its international airport close to its middle. |
